Rules for decorating the interiors of rooms in the Mediterranean style

When decorating living rooms, the emphasis is on textiles. The overall interior can be decorated in Italian, Mediterranean, Provence or Country styles.

Rooms resembling wardrooms become a decoration of any building. For them, decorative pillows are selected to match, curtains are hung in plain colors or with white and blue stripes.

Designers adhere to minimalism in arranging furniture in a marine style. Glass tables, large mirrors, chairs made of bamboo or wicker will add lightness to the interior.

Living rooms may contain low sofas, wooden shelves, a chest that replaces a chest of drawers, and elegant bookcases for placing small decorative ornaments.

Bedroom decoration

So that nothing distracts from relaxation, bedrooms are usually decorated in calm colors, without flashy accents. The walls, as a rule, have a light shade. If you want to give your bedroom a unique look, you can use wallpaper with a tropical or nautical pattern. The main thing is not to overdo it, so as not to shift the accents in the interior.

The style of furniture is dictated by the chosen direction. Mediterranean is characterized by light colors and simple design. For modern classics, you should opt for products made from natural wood in a light shade.

Laconic but bright accents in the interior can be created using accessories:

  • table lamp;
  • anchor, steering wheel, lifebuoy;
  • figurines in a marine theme;
  • paintings and posters depicting the sea;
  • mirrors.

An unusual solution for the bedroom is furniture made from elements of boats (tables, shelves, beds). Such products look unusual and impressive.
