Decorating the walls of houses in the Mediterranean style

To decorate walls in living rooms or bedrooms, it is preferable to use a single color scheme, creating accents on one of the surfaces using decor.

For a children’s room, a good solution would be to choose photo wallpaper with a wide-format image or classic wallpaper with a calm ornament.

In the study, the walls look stylish, decorated with wood cuts and complemented by an aged effect.

For a marine style in the kitchen interior, tiles are selected that illuminate the space, for example, in turquoise, light sand, soft azure shades.

Parquet, laminate or materials that imitate natural wood are usually chosen as flooring. Carpets in sand or other pastel colors will add completeness. The original solution is 3D images on the floor.

It is preferable to select furniture from natural materials. Dressers, bedroom sets, coffee tables, sofas – any product should be made in a discreet manner.

Upholstered furniture is selected in one shade and can be complemented with poufs or pillows in white, dark blue or sand colors with striped prints or themed patterns.

For window drapery, it is preferable to use straight, rolled and Roman curtains made of natural materials, made in a classic cut. Fabrics for bedspreads and rugs can be anything, the main thing is to maintain the entire interior in a single composition.

There are no restrictions on the choice of lighting for a marine style. Almost any type of lamps will look harmonious. So, in the bedrooms it is recommended to install different light sources, for example, an ordinary classic chandelier and several sconces in the form of sea lanterns.

Lamps decorated with shells and sea anchors are appropriate for the children’s area.

In living rooms and offices, a combination of several lighting fixtures – spotlights, a large chandelier-fan, a floor lamp – looks original.
