What is the structure of liquid wallpaper

The walls in the rooms can be finished in many different ways, for this in any construction store you will find a large selection of finishing materials. In addition to ordinary and other types of wallpapers, you can also choose not quite ordinary material finishes – liquid wallpaper. Next, we will tell you what the liquid wallpaper is, and how they should be correctly applied to the walls.

What is liquid wallpaper?

When this type of wallpaper is in packed form, then inside the package you can see peculiar white particles resembling flakes. They actually represent a dry mixture that is saturated with glue.

When the cooked mixture is applied to the wall and dries, it can resemble something like a hard foam.

At the moment, several types of liquid wallpaper are presented on the market, which differ in the size of particles and the final thickness of the layer after drying out. The first option after drying becomes equal in thickness two to three millimeters, the second option is about two times thicker.

The structure of liquid wallpaper, after drying has porosity, it retains heat very well, and also has high soundproofing properties. The resulting coating also passes the air well, complies with high norms of environmental friendliness. A distinctive feature of these types of wallpaper is that if the apartment is new enough, then the house is certainly still settled, in such cases it gives cracks in facing materials after repair, but in the case of such liquid wallpaper this does not happen.
